Someone asked for a RAZR V6 iSync plugin, so here one is. I don't have a V6 in my hands, so I had to guess at some crucial details, but hopefully I guessed right.
iSync-2.3 RAZR V6 phoneplugin Ver 7 [32 KB]
Anyway, copy PhonePlugins to ~/Library, test it out, and leave comments of how it fails. :) Also, the icon I made isn't the greatest, but it should do. Oh, if you have already paired the phone, redo the pairing after copying the plugin to ~/Library.

Comment from mark:
Dave,
you are brilliant!!
Got it to work first crack
Thanks again
Mark
Comment from kotz9:
I have now got the plugin to work after removing and replacing the edited metaclasses.plist that I was previously using with the original metaclasses.plist file. Also, I wasn't sure which library to put the phone plugin folder into (root or user) so I put it into both (it didn't work when it was just in the user library). The icon is good, the address book works, but the calandar still does not work (as was the case with the edited metaclasses.plist file method).
Comment from Luke:
Hi,
Thanks Dave, your plugin is a life saver, ok that's an exageration, but it is still great.
Using version 7 of the plugin, on the Telstra [Australia] network.
So thanks again,
cheers,
Luke
Comment from brett:
Version 7 is able to sync events created on the phone calender, but not those created or modified on ical?
others find this?

[MOTORAZR maxxV6] There was an error pushing some changes to the phone. The synchronization may have been cancelled on the phone.
Device "MOTORAZR maxxV6" synchronization failed
Ur doin good work Dave, thanks for ur persistance
Comment from Jonathan:
Brilliant brilliant brilliant
Its good work.
Will require a little more though.
Like Brett on Post 31. Will sync phone events but not those on iCal.
I have a feeling it will get there.
Comment from JedixJarf:
Hey Man this plug-in works great for me THANKS!!! :)
although i did do a little alteration to icon :-)

Comment from kotz9:
Well done Dave. My experiences are the same as Brett. I can sync an entry from the phone to ICal, but nothing goes the other way. I don't seem to be able to to produce the Console report you were asking for any more (I could before) but I am with the same carrier as Brett (Telstra).
Comment from Steve:
Thanks for that Dave - I just got my V6 maxx today - this little plug in saved me hours of typing. ;-)
I'm also having the same "issue" with iCal. Not critical for me, but, thought you might like to know.
I've an unlocked phone - with T-Mobile Germany Chip.
Comment from Andrew Rowland:
Thankms for this. Great to get the most from a new phone when Motorola told me all I had to do was go to Apple's iSync website :)
The next item on my list is getting online with the V6 but I have had no luck with this either. Can anyone point me in the right direction with that?
Thanks
Comment from Dave:
I'm still working on the calendar bugs.
Andrew Rowland, do you mean to use the V6 as a tether for your laptop?
Comment from brett:
Andrew Rowland have a look at this thread http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=642528
Should tell u what u need to know to use the v6 as a nextg modem bluetooth or usb.
It is possible despite what some will tell u, to get a seperate sim on any of the casual data plans including hourly, talk to telsta wireless data through 125111
Comment from Michael:
Hello
Thanks for the plugin you have produced appears to work well. But I too also have problem syncing ical to the phone.
But still good work on at least getting the address book syncing well hope to see further improvements
Comment from Shubber:
Thanks mate! This plugin worked like a charm for sync-ing my 1500+ contacts to my v6 (which was going to be a real bummer if i had to do it manually...)
Cheers!
Comment from Matcheel:
I got all my 1000+ contacts on my V6 but could sync ical. I could live without iCal for the time being but the real problem is the Address enteries isync keeps treating these address data on V6 as new ones and asking me to add to my Address book every time I sync. Accepted once & all data were messed up. I tried remove & add advice, reset devices and reset sync history. Data back but the problem could not be solved. My solution is to stop syncing with V6 until I got lot of new enteries, then I will use reset devices to transfer / merge the data. Any help? Many thanks!
Comment from Jacky:
Thx, it works. But I got some problem when I Sync Chinese Contacts. The Chinese Contacts will change to "???" o.0 anyone got solutions? Thx
Comment from Grateful:
Thanks Dave - you rock!
Comment from Bill:
this worked a treat - thanks!
Note for dumbasses like me - it only seems to sync numbers than are in your phone memory - not on sim
Comment from Tristan:
Thanks very much, works perfectly on my AU phone.
:-))))))
Comment from Matcheel:
It finally works for me after several reset. Thanks for this great product!
Comment from Michael:
I would like to try but I can't work out how to register.
Comment from Dave G:
As with all the above works well is But I have note it does copy birthdays or photos to the phone address book is this just me?
Comment from doc fen:
i followed the instructions on where to store the plug in. i moved all the razr plug in to my library folder since i don't have any existing phone plug in folder. Problem the i don't see any i sync plug in there.
where did i go wrong?
Comment from THemi:
I'm Jealous!!!
I just puchased a Verizon razr maxx & I can not get it to sync. My MacBook pro acknowledged the phone and will not give me the option to sync. I downloaded the plug ins and copied it to my user library, created a new folder and no luck. I tried going to the contents of iSync to change the metaclass file, but still no luck. I even reinstalled iSync still no luck. My v3c synced with no problem, why am I stuck???
Thanks
Comment from Andrzej:
Nice work, but I'm having a few issues...
Transferred phone numbers fine first time round, but now when I try to synchronise it gets first and last names confused -- adds a copy of ALL contacts from the 'phone to Address Book but with first and last names transposed. This means I can only sync one way (Mac to phone).
Both Mac and 'phone are sorted on last name.
Any Ideas?
I have learnt from bitter experience to always backup my address & calendars before syncing!
Comment from tomtan:
Thanks very much. Forgot to put a note of thanks on the donation. Will keep an eye out so iCal works
Comment from Mark Nixon:
Any developments with this? i.e. iCal working? Its been some time....
Comment from Whait:
Is there some way to sync contact photos etc. with a RAZR? Maybe hack the driver even further? Or so?
Comment from Aussie John:
Thanks for the contacts syncing plugin. Seems to work well. The Calendar syncing functionality seems tantalising close and look forward to any upgrade. Again Great work.
Comment from rachael Goldburg:
I don't really know anything about programs such as this, but i dont know how to make the moto maxx v6 installation cd work on a mac. help?
Comment from Jules Black:
Dear Aussie John
I tried to fnd the specific instructions you used to enable your Motorola razrr V6 to sync with your mac.
I'm in Randwick, Sydney
Comment from macpunc:
Leopard will support native iSync with Motorola V6 maxx when it is released on October 26, 2007.
Check out this apple page:
cheers
macpunc
Comment from upi:
I have just installed Leopard and tried to iSync my V6 maxx. The dialog states that only calendar item syncing is supported (by the phone).
Comment from upi:
Apologies - I meant only address syncing
Comment from upi:
From what I can gather, the install CD does not come with any Mac OS X software.
Most of the contributers to this bloc (regarding V6 maxx) are lamenting the fact that current versions of the iSync application will not sync calendar and todo items. iSync is generally used for syncing of mobile phones (and other devices) with iCal and Addresses.
We are still waiting for a solution. Doh!
Comment from Frederik Haarman:
same for me...no calender syncing !
Comment from Mothra:
I imagine this will remain the case, as the Motorola MAXX V6 is now quite an old phone.
