Like everyone else with Mac OS 10.4, I too have been playing around with Quartz Composer. I like the Host patch, but I find it a bit limited. Currently the only real-time dynamic stat is CPU load. I stuck it on a fountain that erupts more violently as the load increases, and this makes a pretty good desktop when used with something like Quartz Desktop..

However, I would like access to other stats such as free memory, network traffic, disk space, etc. I know how to obtain those readings, but I can’t find any documentation on creating my own source patch. My hunch after quickly perusing the Quartz Composer mailing list is that there isn’t an interface for that yet, though I did see a reference to a guy in Japan doing it (?). Anyone have the heads-up?
